A commissioned artwork offers the opportunity to own a unique, original piece created specifically for you. Whether you are looking for a landscape, portrait, architectural scene, or an abstract geometric composition, I work closely with each client to create artwork that reflects your vision while remaining true to my artistic style.

Every commission is approached with careful planning, regular communication, and attention to detail from concept through to completion. Each piece is individually crafted using professional-quality materials.

Commission Terms & Conditions

  1. Quotation & Acceptance: Each commission begins with a personalised quotation based on the requested size, medium, subject matter, and complexity.
  2. Deposit: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation. Work will only commence once the deposit has been received.
  3. Completion Time: The estimated completion time for commissioned artwork is 6–8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the artwork and my current commission schedule. An estimated completion date will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
  4. Progress Updates: Where appropriate, progress photographs may be shared throughout the creative process. Minor adjustments may be accommodated during these stages.
  5. Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is payable upon completion of the artwork and before collection or shipping.
  6. Shipping & Collection: Shipping costs are quoted separately unless otherwise stated. Artwork will only be dispatched once full payment has been received.
  7. Copyright: All copyright and reproduction rights remain the property of Arno Taljaard. The artist reserves the right to photograph and reproduce commissioned artwork for portfolios, exhibitions, publications, social media, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  8. Cancellation: Should a commission be cancelled after work has commenced, the 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers consultation, planning, materials, and work already completed. In the event of cancellation, the artist retains full ownership and copyright of the commissioned artwork and reserves the right to complete, exhibit, reproduce, or sell the work at their sole discretion.
  9. Original Artwork: Each commissioned artwork is an original, hand-created piece and will naturally contain subtle variations that reflect the creative process. No two works are ever identical.
